Full Renovation & Rear Extension For Family Home

At Wells Construction Ltd, we recently completed a comprehensive property refurbishment in Epping, Essex. The project was a full internal and external renovation for a residential client, along with a single-storey rear extension designed to create space for an additional bedroom.

The work transformed the property into a modern, functional home with high-spec finishes throughout. Our team managed the entire build process from start to finish, delivering a wide range of works including building, roofing, landscaping and internal refurbishment.

High-End Exterior Upgrades

The outside of the property was completely refreshed with a clean, modern finish. We applied K-rend to all external walls to create a smooth, bright render surface that’s both weather-resistant and low maintenance.

We also replaced the existing roof with a new slate roof to the front and rear. Slate was chosen for its long lifespan, clean look and strong performance in all weather conditions. To complete the front of the home, we installed a new block paved driveway. This added kerb appeal and created a practical, long-lasting surface for parking.

Rear Extension With Bedroom Addition

The rear of the property was extended to add another bedroom. The extension was designed to blend in with the original structure whilst offering extra internal space.

We managed all aspects of the extension, from foundations and structural works to roofing and finishing touches. This additional room added value to the property and gave the client much-needed flexibility in how the home is used.

Kitchen Installation

Inside the property, a brand-new kitchen was installed. We stripped out the old layout and carried out a full refit including new units, worktops, flooring and lighting.

The kitchen was finished to a high standard and designed to suit the client’s style and layout preferences. We worked closely with the client to make sure the final result was practical and modern.

Bathroom & Cloakroom Refurbishment

We completed a full bathroom renovation, along with a new en-suite and a cloakroom upgrade. All rooms were stripped back, re-plumbed, and re-tiled. New sanitaryware and fittings were installed throughout, with attention paid to style and functionality. The result was a clean, updated look with improved storage and usability.

Landscaped Garden With Porcelain Patio

To finish the rear of the property, we designed and installed a porcelain patio and carried out a full garden landscaping makeover.

The porcelain slabs created a durable and modern seating area with easy upkeep. We shaped the garden layout to maximise space and usability, giving the client an outdoor area to enjoy year-round. This part of the job tied in the new extension with the rest of the garden and improved the overall flow of the outside space.
